Personal:
I am a life-long resident
of Clinton County. My parents instilled the
values in me of hard work and respect for others. I started working at the
age of twelve, picking potatoes on a local farm. I graduated from Lock Haven High School.
While in high school, I was elected to the First Team
All State
as halfback and picked for the Big 33. I graduated from Lock Haven
High School, and I was awarded a
full scholarship to Penn
State University,
where I played Penn State
Football for four years. In 1964, I was chosen for the First Team All-East,
as defensive end. Then I joined my father's construction business, and we
built hundreds of homes in Centre and Clinton Counties.
I continued in business
for thirty-five years before becoming Clinton County Commissioner.
Public Service:
In 1993, I became
interested in public service work, and I served on the Lock Haven City
Council for three and a half years. I served as Mayor of Lock Haven for
four years. I was elected Clinton County Commissioner in 2000 and served
eight years. In 2007, I was elected Second Vice-President of the County
Commissioners Association of PA.
Affiliations:
I am a member and
President of the Lock Haven Lions Club. I am a life member of
the Castanea Fire Company, the Elks, and in 1984,
I was elected to the PA Sports Hall of Fame, and I am a life member of the
Penn State Football Letterman’s Club. I am an avid hunter and fisherman
and I am a member of the NRA, the North American Hunting Club, the Rocky
Mountain Elk Foundation, the Southern Clinton County Sportsmen's Club, the
Western Clinton Sportsmen's Club, and the Pennsylvania State Farm Bureau.

The Hometown Hero Celebration honored 376 veterans by putting their
pictures on banners. The banners are on display on light poles throughout
downtown Lock Haven and along the walk way along the river. This was the
very first celebration of its kind and we are looking forward to next years event.

Bud
participated in the Memorial Day Parade in the Beech Creek/Blanchard and Loganton areas. He handed out eight hundred small
American Flags with his web address on them. He enjoyed talking to the
people and he is planning to return to the area before the November
election.
